How to make face mask with fabric?
Currently, the supply of face masks is at record highs across the country.
Orders for standard disposable face masks used in hospitals are sold out and there is a strong demand for protective equipment for healthcare professionals.
According to the CDC, fabric masks are an option to respond to the crisis when other stocks are depleted.
Due to these concerns, many hospitals across the country have requested homemade face masks as an emergency measure.
Homemade Fabric Face Masks are a Last Resort
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) explained that homemade masks are acceptable as a last resort in times of crisis. On the CDC's Strategies for Optimizing the Supply of Face Masks website, he explains that while homemade masks do not replace PPE, they can be used in environments where face masks are not available.
